In just a few days,Final Fantasy 14will play host to theFinal Fantasy 15collaboration event, which will run from February 28 to March 13. Originally launched in 2019, the collaboration event betweenFinal Fantasy 14andFinal Fantasy 15last appeared in Eorzea in 2021, a few months before the launch ofEndwalker, and gave players a chance to claim some rewards based onFinal Fantasy 15.
WiththeDawntrailexpansionstill months away from release,Final Fantasy 14has once again turned to rerunning past collaboration events as a way to give new and returning players a chance to experience them. From January 22 to February 5, theFinal Fantasy 11collaboration event, The Maiden’s Rhapsody, which featured the character Iroha, returned toFinal Fantasy 14for the first time since 2022. While The Maiden’s Rhapsody was not a new event,Dawntrailwill have the Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raid series as part of a larger collaboration between theFinal Fantasyseries' two MMORPGs. It remains to be seen if and when The Maiden’s Rhapsody will get another run duringDawntrail.
But,Final Fantasy 14players will have another fan-favorite event to look forward to soon.According to Square Enix, theFinal Fantasy 15event, A Nocturne for Heroes, starts on Wednesday, February 28, at 2:00 AM Eastern, and concludes two weeks later, on Wednesday, March 13, at 10:59 AM Eastern. This means that A Nocturne for Heroes will overlap withthe ongoing Moogle Treasure Trove campaign, which will conclude its first half on Monday, March 11. Some of the rewardsFinal Fantasy 14players can earn include the Lucian Locks hairstyle, the Lucian Prince’s Attire, and the Regalia Type-G mount, which has four seats and is capable of flight.
Final Fantasy 14 x Final Fantasy 15 Collaboration Details
Final Fantasy 14players will need to reach level 50 and complete the quest “The Ultimate Weapon” to begin the collaboration quests. The first quest, titled “The Man in Black,” is started in the city of Ul’dah, by speaking with Kipih Jakkya near the Immortal Flames' grand company headquarters. Square Enix also stated that newFinal Fantasy 14players must first purchase the game. This means that players who just started playingFinal Fantasy 14via the Xbox beta clientwill unfortunately be left out.
It remains to be seen if past collaboration events such asYo-Kai WatchandDragon Questwill receive reruns beforeDawntrail. BetweenFinal Fantasy 14hostingaFinal Fantasy 16collaboration eventstarting in early April, and the return of theFF15event, players will have more to do soon.
