Over ten years after Remedy Entertainment released the first installment to the series,Alan Wake 2is finally arrivingthis Friday, October 27th. Releasing on next-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S) and PC this week, players will finally be able to dive back into the nightmare introduced in Remedy’s 2010 cult-classicAlan Wake.
The sequel takes players through two separate single-player stories, one following the titular character and horror author Alan Wake, and the other following FBI Agent Saga Anderson. Moving away from the action-adventure themes that players will remember from the first game (and the 2012 spin-off,Alan Wake’s American Nightmare),Alan Wake 2will step solidly into the survival horror genre, giving players new and old to the series a horrifying gaming treat just in time for Halloween.

Alan Wake 2 will officially be released to players globally at12 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday, October 27th,arriving just in time for the Halloween weekend. The release time will be staggered based on location around the globe. Those on theeast coast of the United Stateswill get access at12:00AMtheir local time. Players acrossEuropewill gain access in the early hours ofFriday morning.Finally, players inLos Angeleswill gain access at9:00PM local time on Thursday the 26th, providing an extra night this weekend to dive into the madness of Alan and Saga as they survive the horror-filled Bright Falls, Washington.
How Big is the Alan Wake 2 File Size?
Players looking to addAlan Wake 2to their game library will want to have some space available to download and install the game’s large file size. While Xbox and Playstation file sizes have not been confirmed, thePC file size has been announcedto be roughly 90 GB, on par with Capcom’shorror release from earlier this yearResident Evil 4(2023).
