Alison Brie has recently admitted that one of her life-long dreams is to play a villain in the famous Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although Brie has big wishes to officially enter theMCU, she isn’t a complete stranger when it comes to collaborating with Marvel.

In 2016, Brie provided the voice of Black Widow in theMarvel Avengers Academyvideo game. She even went on to direct an episode ofMarvel’s 616anthology documentary series. Brie is also set to voice a role in the animatedMoon Girl and Devil Dinosaurseries that is expected to be released sometime next year. Despite Brie having been somewhat in the shadows when it comes to her past collaborations with Marvel, she recently made it very clear that she has an aching desire to officially join theMCU.

In a recent interview, Brie explained what specific type of character she would like to take on if the opportunity was ever granted to her. In conversation withComicBook, Brie revealed it would be an ultimate dream come true for her to get to play “a great Marvel Villain.” She shared, “Nothing specifically that I have set my sights on, no, and I think that would be a mistake, because clearly you can’t really dictate. Marvel’s going to do their thing, as they should. I think there’s a fantasy deep in my mind that one day I would get to playa great Marvel villain, but I don’t know which one that would be. People, fans, send me some ideas, so I can start the campaign."

A couple of years ago, Brie played a ruthless wrestler on Netflix’sGLOW. Throughout that role, she demonstrated her full physical range and stunt skills as an actress. Her performance seemed to snowball into alleged reports that Marvel Studios was on the hunt for an “Alison Brie-type actor” to playShe-Hulk. Brie commented on the alleged rumors, stating it was an “interesting possibility.” Even though the role ultimately was given to Tatiana Maslany, it definitely proves that Brie is at least on Marvel Studios' radar.

At some point down the line, it would not be shocking to see Brie cast in theMCU, whether she is taking on a villain or not. The actress has clearly set her sights on eventually making her way into the cinematic franchise. Fans can be on the lookout for Brie’s latest film, athriller titledSpin Me Aroundin which she stars and serves as co-screenwriter for the script as well.

Spin Me Aroundis now playing in theaters.
