As evident from its name, the pack’s theme is to create a more relaxing and charming outdoor space for Sims' houses. Adding new hot tubs, for example, allows players to create more relaxing and romantic settings for their Sims to unwind in. Interestingly, for the first time in the franchise, children can also use hot tubs, making it a great way to keep them clean, relaxed, and happy too. One of the most exciting aspects of hot tubs is the romantic encounters they offer for adult Sims. With the ability to engage in intimate conversations and woo-hoo in the hot tubs, Sims can have a steamy evening that is both fun and romantic. And for the adventurous Sims, there is the option of skinny dipping.
Another great feature is the ability to have up to eight Sims use the hot tub at one time. This makes it perfect for larger gatherings and parties where Sims can all relax together and have a good time. With handiness skills, Sims can also upgrade their hot tubs to add Aromatherapy, add a stereo and even make them unbreakable. It is important to note that Hot Tubs were originally only available in Perfect Patio Stuff pack until a base game update in 2021, rendering the pack somewhat obsolete as it lost its main selling point. However, for players who are dissatisfied with the design of the base game’s hot tub and do not wish to download custom content, the pack still remains a viable option.
Perfect Patio also introduces a new Backyardradio station for players who loveto groove to some tunes while they relax in their outdoor space. This channel features 5 new songs, providing players with fresh and exciting music to enjoy while they play.

Aside from the 32 unique items, Perfect Patio Stuff pack also features a pre-styled room that players can use as a reference for decorating their own patios. Swimsuits are a must-have for hot tub usage, so it’s no surprise that new swimwear options have been added for all genders, along with hairstyles, tops, and outfits. While most of the new CAS items are available forteen and older Sims, it’s worth noting that masculine children have also received a new hairstyle option.
The pack does not add any Bottoms, Accessory, Shoes or Makeup options.
