Exploration inZenless Zone Zeromostly involves the Hollows, where monsters appear due to Ether corruption. However, since New Eridu found a way to benefit and monetize Ether, the government, companies, and gangs are all trying to make the most of it. Because of this, some people become what is known as a Hollow Raider to look for treasures and valuables inside the Hollows.
Playable characters inZZZall conduct activities in the Hollows to some extent, which means they all have sufficient or outstanding Ether Aptitudes. Proxies can create partnerships with Agents of different backgrounds, whether it’s Hollow Raiders, construction companies, private institutions, or people of the government and security officers.

In the CBT, Character Specialty/Role doesn’t exist; they instead have an Attack Type. However, since this is a little confusing for many players, HoYoverse decided to scrap that and make a role for each Agent instead. However, each character still has an Attack Type, which players can see in the respective Agent’s stat info.
