It was a big week forAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayers as the highly anticipated Update 2.0 as well as the Happy Home Designer paid DLC finally launched. The dual updates seems to have provided another much needed boost toAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsby adding a ton of highly requested featuresand quality of life additions. This includes the ability to farm, creating island-wide ordinances, increased DIY storage, 16 new villagers, and much more.
In fact, Update 2.0 forAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsalso brought back fan-favorite character Brewster. The pigeon barrista has opened up his cafe inside of the museum, allowing players and other NPC characters a place to relax and drink some coffee. While Brewster may spot a laid-back attitude and sport a man of few words style, fans have already begun seeing some surprising additions inside the cafe. In fact, one long running NPC in the franchise has seemingly made his return as well.

Thecranky mole character known as Mr. Resettihas been yelling at players since the very firstAnimal Crossing, reminding players to save and admonish them for reseting rather then saving the game. WithAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, Resetti’s job has been made obsolete due to the fact that the game now autosaves, so the character has been relegated to transporting the player back to their home if they’re lost or stuck wehen visiting other islands.
However, inside of Update 2.0,Animal Crossing New Horizonsplayers have begun seeing the mole turn up inside of Brewster’s Cafe to the surprise of many. Resetti seems to appear randomly, even for those without his amiibo figure, which has led many to believe that the Cafe can feature completely random NPCs. Some have even scanned Resetti’s brother Don into the game, which has brought both moles into the Cafe allowing the player to chat with them. Regardless, Mr. Resetti seems to retain his trademark cranky attitude, especially when reminiscing about his olf nemesis, the reset button.
For those who may want a bit more from theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsexperience, the first, and only, paid DLC expansion is also now available. Unlike the free update,Happy Home Paradise let’s players work as a vacation home designer, listening to requests from characters and making their dream home a reality. Located on a new Archepelago chain of islands, players have full creative license to create the villager’s vacation home, from the interior, exterior, season, and weather the location is currently experiencing.
