Cheaters are something that players inApex Legendshave had to deal with for a while now. Respawn Entertainment has attempted to make these instances with bad actors few and far between byinstituting bans forApexplayers that abuse glitchesand weasel their way under the map. However, it seems that one player has found the perfect counter for cheaters that enjoy using subterranean map tactics.
Reddit user cheffymcchef found themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place in a clip they posted to theApex Legendssubreddit. Their team was one of two remaining squads within the final circle of a platinum ranked match, however, they couldn’t find the other team anywhere. It then became clear that their opponent was hiding underneath the map, only popping up occasionally to fire off a couple of shots.

While many would get frustrated in this situation and just forfeit, cheffymcchef had another idea.Playing as Lifeline, they decide to drop their Care Package ultimate on the submerged player’s location. Surprisingly enough, the package found its target, immediately ending the game upon impact and granting the squad victory.
Apex Legendsplayers continue to show their ingenuity when it comes to problem-solving within the game. While cheffymcchef displayed quick-witted thinking when it came to achieving victory, other players have attempted to focus their energy towards solutions that benefit new players. One such player even deviseda new hero rotation system forApex Legendsthat would allow greener players to try out legends before they buy them.
While players seem to be crafting perfect solutions for the game, Respawn Entertainment, unfortunately, seems to be creating more problems. Season 6 ofApex Legendshas seen a large influx of bugs and glitches since the update rolled out. While some have been minor in the grand scheme of the game’s life, likeOctane being stuck in his Stimanimation, others have proven to be more frustrating and worse, game-breaking.
These issues likely wouldn’t be as worrying were it not for the fact that the highly anticipated crossplay update will be added to the game soon. While crossplay support would normally be a cause for celebration within the game’scommunity, some have become concerned as to whether or not theApex Legends' servers will be able to handle the stress. And while the bugs and glitches found throughout Season 6 ofApex Legendsmay not be indicative of what’s to come when crossplay launches, it is likely still enough to make any veteran player of the battle royale wary.
Apex Legendsis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version currently in development.
