Around June 28, 2025,Apex Legendsseason 7 will come to an end and season 8 will begin. That’s still a few weeks away, so not much is known yet, but fans do have a few inklings from past seasons and recent statements. Perhaps the most telling is howApex Legendsseason 9 will have some surprises, likely meaning season 8 will be business as usual in leading up to something big. That’s certainly not a bad thing, though, and it’ll be interesting to see how season 8 sets up season 9.
One thing that’s likely is how season 9 won’t feature a newApex Legendsmap since season 7 introduced one, and that’s even more tantalizing. While it still remains a mystery, it’s worth trying to do some sleuthing for season 8.

Apex Legends New Character, Buffs and Nerfs
Of course, the most obvious new inclusion will be a new character joining theApex Legendsroster. There hasn’t been any in-game hints discovered yet, but ever since day one, there has been alist of leakedApex Legendscharacters. Octane, Wattson, Crypto, Revenant, and Loba all appeared here first, so there’s a decent chance that one of the following characters will join in season 8:
Outside of a new character, players should expect changes to how many of the characters operate.Apex Legends' Wraith is being brought “under control,“while characters like Octane and Crypto are in need of a few buffs. While the exact changes are up in the air, it’ll be interesting to see how it changes up the meta.
Apex Legends Guns and Maps
In regards to other seasonal changes, fans shouldn’t expect a new map. Olympus is still the fresh, premiere map, but fans can expect the rotation to change somewhat. Hopefully, this bringsApex Legends' OG Map, Kings Canyon, back into play somehow, but how exactly the Ranked Splits and rotations work remains to be seen. Notably, in absence of a new map, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect a new gun. There has been much to indicate this or what it could be, but the last new weapon wasSeason 6’s Volt SMG. It stands to reason that a new gun is in the works and could join the fore.
Outside of that, there’s the obvious inclusions: a new Battle Pass with new skins, a change-up in the care package weapon, and the standard seasonal changes.Apex Legendsseason 8 is in a position to carry on the success of the popular BR game, but as aforementioned, it’s season 9 fans may want to keep their ear to the ground for.
