Theresidue boltis a type of crossbow ammo inDays Gone. If the player shoots an enemy with a residue bolt, the enemy will attack allies. With this knowledge, gamers can get creative in fights with humans and Freakers. If players scout an enemy camp before attacking, they can even plan who they want to target with a residue bolt. For example, snipers are particularly effective due to their powerful weapons, so gamers use the residue bolt on them and take advantage of their weapon indirectly.

Taking down a horde inDyas Gonecanbe extremely difficult to pull off, especially once playersunlock the harshest regions of the map, such as theHighway 97, which harbors some of the most difficult hordes in the game. It is in these areas that players will really have to start using up their items, such as cocktails.
Thefocus cocktailis able to restore some of Deacon St. John’s focus, and then slowly regenerate it for a period of time. This is quite helpful during the early stages of a horde fight because it allows players to enter focus mode for longer and gives them more time to aim their shots.
11Attractor
Attractors are a great way to get the attention of enemies. They will allow players to easily sneak by enemy or gather them up before tossing a Molotov and watching them burn.

Its recipe is unlocked once the prologue is completed and Deacon retrieves the Crossbow from the Weapon Locker at the O’Leary Mountain safehouse.
6Remote Bomb
Defeating hordes and clearing infestation zones is much easier once players get access toremote bombs. As the name indicates, these are bombs that are remotely activated. Thus, they have to be placed in order for the player to denote them.
They can be set up strategically, and if they’re placed in a good location, gamers can maximize the number of Freakers that they take down with a single remote bomb. To do this, gamers have to place a remote bomb near locations where Freakers will funnel through, such as cave entrances, near explosives, or near windows.
