Call of Duty: Modern Warfarehas consistently added new game modes and content since its launch this past October, and that trend continues with today’s playlist update. While full patch notes are not yet available, it’s been confirmed thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfareis adding the brand new Gunfight Grind mode.
ForModern Warfarefans who may not know what Grind is, it’s a mode that basically combines Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint. In it, players have to collect dogtags of fallen enemies and then deliver them to a specific spot on the map to get points. Gunfight Grind is a variant on the regular Grind mode that limits the player count to 2v2, and lets players battle it out on various Gunfight maps. Specific Gunfight maps for Gunfight Grind haven’t been announced, so it’s unclear if all of them will be available in the playlist or not. Those interested in Gunfight Grind will want to be sure to try it out this week, as it’s likely to be replaced with next week’s playlist update.

BesidesGunfight Grind,Modern Warfarefans also have Double Weapon XP and Double XP to look forward to this week. From February 5 at 10am PT and until February 11 at 9am ET,Modern Warfareplayers Double Weapon XP and Double XP, which should go a long way in helping players complete their Battle Pass.
Speaking of theModern WarfareBattle Pass, the Tier Sale has been extended until February 5. So those who have some extra COD Points lying around or who just want to pay to complete the Battle Pass still have some time to do so at a cheaper rate.
Next week should be a much bigger one forCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefans.Modern WarfareSeason Oneends on February 11, and Season Two will likely not be far behind. As for what Season Two will entail, that remains to be seen. However, the general consensus is thatModern WarfareSeason Two will have some new maps at the very least, along with a new Battle Pass, cosmetics, and more.
There have also been rumors that theModern Warfarebattle royale modewill launch with Season Two, but that has yet to be confirmed. Fans will have to stay tuned for more information.
