This was proven in a video by Reddit user MuckinAround145, who tested theModern Warfareriot shield against all of the game’s lethal killstreaks. Out of 15Modern Warfarekillstreaks, the riot shield helped players survive nine of them. Some of the killstreaks that were still able to kill players even when they had a riot shield equipped included Cluster Strikes, Care Packages, and Precision Airstrikes.

This video shows that, when in the right hands, riot shields can be hugely effective inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. In fact, the game’s early days were defined byoverpowered riot shield loadoutsthat saw players dominate multiplayer match-ups by using both riot shields and the infamously OP 725 shotgun.
Riot shields aren’t seen quite as often inCall of Duty: Modern Warfareas they used to be, but they still get used, even in theWarzonebattle royale mode. In fact, when anentireWarzoneteam has riot shields, it can make it extremely difficult for other players to deal any damage to them, especially in close quarters.
