Fans have been eagerly anticipating theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareWarzone battle royale mode, but the mode still has yet to be officially announced by Activision or Infinity Ward. However, that hasn’t stopped what appears to be theModern WarfareWarzone map from leaking online, posted to Reddit by user Senescallo, someone who has been known to leakCall of Dutyimages in the past.
The leakedCall of Duty: Modern WarfareWarzone map looks very similar to the onethat previously leaked last year. There are some minor differences, however; for example, it appears as though more buildings have been added to the map when compared to the one that originally leaked. It’s worth pointing out that the originalModern WarfareWarzone leaked map was also posted by Senescallo.

It seems like a safe bet that this is in fact theModern WarfareWarzone map, but fans won’t know for sure until the mode comes to the game itself. Luckily, fans shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to jump into theModern WarfareWarzone battle royale mode. Most of the leaks and rumors point to theWarzone release datebeing Tuesday, March 10, so it’s possible that fans will be able to check out the new mode in less than a week’s time.
Of course, it’s entirely possible that Activision will hold off on releasing theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareWarzone mode for one reason or another. Maybe it wants to release all of theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 2 contentand save the Warzone battle royale launch for Season 3. If so, that could mean thatModern Warfarefans are in for a longer wait than they initially anticipated.
Regardless of when Warzone comes to the game, it’s a foregone conclusion at this point that the mode is in fact in development in some capacity. After all, players have managed toglitch into the Warzone lobby, and using some COD Caster tricks, it’s even possible for players to explore unfinished portions of the map.
SinceModern Warfareplayers already know that Warzone is coming to the game, some have understandably become impatient waiting for an announcement.Warzone was trending on Twitteryesterday when theModern WarfareMarch 3 update didn’t add the new mode, so hopefully details come before too many people sour on the idea.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
