Call of Duty: Modern Warfarehas its fair share of glitches and technical issues, but developer Infinity Ward has released updates on a weekly basis to address these problems. One glitch that is still plaguing the game for some players is theCall of Duty: Modern Warfaregreen dot glitch, where the green dot that shows players they have something new in their menus won’t go away. While theCall of Duty: Modern Warfaregreen dot glitch is still a problem, fans have new assurance that a fix is on the way.
We first learned that Infinity Ward planned to fix theModern Warfaregreen dot glitcha couple of weeks ago when game artist Joel Emslie confirmed as much in a Reddit thread. In the thread, Emslie said that Infinity Ward was going to push for a “clear all” function so players could remove all the green dots from the menus at once. A Reddit user then responded to the nearly 2-week old comment just recently, saying, “Or could you maybe just fix the glitch?”

Emslie responded to the comment by confirming that not only isInfinity Wardgoing to fix theModern Warfaregreen dot glitch, but it will also be implementing the “clear all” feature. This way players should be able to manually look at everything and make the green dots go away, but those uninterested can still get rid of the green dots without having to look at the new content.
In the meantime,Call of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers will be holding out hope for the developers to implement other fixes to the game. The February 19 update has appeared to cause a variety of problems for fans, including anActivision friends list glitchas well as perks simply not working as intended. While theModern Warfaregreen dot not going away is definitely annoying for some players, fixing things like the perks seems like it will be a more pressing issue.
Plus, Infinity Ward has much more than just bug fixes in the pipeline forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare.Modern Warfareseason 2will be adding new maps, modes, weapons, and more in the coming weeks, plus the Warzone battle royale mode is on the way as well.
Warzone battle royaleis likely to have its own problems, especially around launch, but hopefully Infinity Ward is quick to address those issues as they pop up. In the meantime, here’s hoping a fix for theModern Warfaregreen dot bug comes sooner rather than later.
