Modern Warfare 3andWarzoneplayers will be able to complete new challenges to earn the Soulrender melee weapon and the SOA Subverter battle rifle when Season 2 Reloaded launches. The Soulrender is a ceremonial sword with unique slashing modes, which activates while using the aim and fire buttons. Using the aim button will let players unleash rapid slashing attacks, and holding the fire button prepares a heavy slash that can deal major damage. Players may earn the Soulrender and its new Omnigenesis weapon camo by completing a set of new in-game challenges, including ones from the new mid-season sector of theModern Warfare 3andWarzoneSeason 2 Battle Pass.
The new SOA Subverter is a battle rifle that fires 7.62 caliber rounds and excels in mid-to-long ranges, due to the rifle’s low fire rate and predictable recoil. Despite the lower fire rate, the SOA Subverter still has the highest fire rate in its class, and its damage is enough to take down enemies in three to four shots without armor plates. The SOA Subverter may be acquired by completing a new weekly challenge, andCall of Dutyplayers can earn Fjord, Tidepool, and Dopamine weapon camos by completing challenges specific to the new battle rifle. With the right attachment setup, the SOA Subverter may become a new favorite amongthe best battle rifles inModern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3andWarzoneplayers will likely strive to obtain the SOA Subverter more than the Soulrender, since the battle rifle could prove to be very powerful in the current meta. However, the Soulrender can still be a deadly weapon for players that are skilled at swiftly closing in on enemies in multiplayer.Warzone’snew point of interest in Season 2 Reloadedmay see players test out the new weapons in exciting gunfights, before changing back to loadouts they’re more familiar with.
