Activision Blizzard has been teasing the arrival ofGodzillaandKing KongtoCall of Duty: Warzone’s Caldera, and it seems the wait is almost over as the two giant monsters will join the battle royale tomorrow. King Kong and Godzilla reach Caldera as part of an Operation Monarch limited-time game mode which givesCall of Duty: Warzonefans several days to encounter the Kaiju.

Operation Monarchruns from May 11 until May 25, and the event isn’t limited to the new game mode as there are many more activities and rewards to explore beyond theKing KongandGodzillathreats. Throughout Operation Monarch,Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers will be able to collect Monarch Intel, do challenges, and battle the enormous King Kong and Godzilla alongside other players. Some of the themed rewardsCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers can unlock for completing Operation Monarch challenges include Legendary Emblems made for the two monsters, Epic “Ancestral Skull” Charm, and Epic “Skyline Crasher” Calling Card.

Legendary Entertainment joins Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games, andToys for Bobto optimize Operation Monarch in order to representGodzillaandKing Kongin Caldera as accurately as possible. The two giants will travel across the landscape and eventually battle each other, but Activision Blizzard has confirmed that Godzilla and King Kong are considered protector Kaiju rather than destroyers, which suggests that more creatures may be coming toCall of Duty: Warzone’s Monsterverse in the future. The event will include intel that explains why the two film beasts have made their way toCall of Duty: Warzoneon top of what has already been confirmed in Classified Arms.

GodzillaandKing Kongare joined inCall of Duty: Warzonewith their respective Team Bundles, which include content inspired by each of their universes.Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers who purchase bothTeamGodzillaand TeamKing Kongbundles will receive the exclusive “Godzilla vs. Kong” Weapon Sticker and the “Superspecies” Player Title. Godzilla will use Heat-Ray Breath, Tail Swipe, and Dorsal Slice as its offense inCall of Duty: Warzone’s Caldera, while King Kong uses Quake Slam, Fin Breaker, and Aerial Axe Slash.

ConsideringGodzillaandKing Konghave come together in the cinematic universe Legendary has set up, it’s fitting to see the two compete again inCall of Duty: Warzone. Activision Blizzard has confirmed that these titans will experience frenzies as they traverse the Caldera, which will offerCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers even more of a challenge than other moments of Operation Monarch. Because of all the free rewards included with Operation Monarch in addition to the new paid DLC forCall of Duty: Warzone, loads of players may seeKing Kongand Godzilla fight for the first time on Caldera as they try to survive.
