Players who want to keep their items and equipment inDark and Darkermust extract from their adventures before the associated timers reach zero. Fortunately, there are several ways to escape from the game’s various maps, and it is important that fans have some information about all of them. This guide is here to provide that information, and it will help players learn how to extract inDark and Darker.

Dark and Darker: How to Extract
There are five ways to escape from a map inDark and Darker, and they are as follows:
Rope Escape
Rope escapes, which can be used only once, appear as knotted blue ropes on the mini-map, and they become available during the second half of a match. To use these ropes, players must simply interact with them. Fans may want to take a moment to pull out their favoriteDark and Darkerweaponand kill any nearby mobs before using a rope escape, though, as they can still take damage (and die) while climbing.
Stair Escape
Stair escapes, which can also be used only once, appear as blue stairs on the mini-map, and they become accessible during the second half of a match. Indeed, it is during that time frame that the gates that block stair escapes will rise, and the flanking torches will ignite with blue flames. Notably, a stair escape with an open gate and inactive torches indicates that it has already been used, andDark and Darkerplayersmust find another extraction point.
Lift Escape
Lift escapes appear as blue squares on the mini-map, and they can extract multiple players simultaneously. Lifts are seemingly available at random times throughout a match, not only during the second half, making them good options forextraction gamefans that are in need of an early escape.
While the lift escape in the Goblin Caves can be used multiple times during a match, the Frost Mountain lift can be used only once. It is also worth mentioning that players can use the Goblin Caves lift simply by standing on it and waiting for it to ascend, while the lift in the Frost Mountain must be activated with a nearby lever.
Raft Escape
The Raft escape is another multiplayer extraction, and it appears as blue boat on the mini-map. As with lift escapes, these opportunities for extraction can appear before a match’s mid-point, and they can become active multiple times during an adventure.
Portal Escape
Three Escape Portal pedestals will emerge from the ground during the second half of a match, and players can interact with them to summon portals that can be used to extract. Those portals do not appear on the mini-map, though, making them a bit difficult to locate. That said, the points on the ground from which pedestals will emerge are marked with blue light, anddungeon crawlerfans who make note of those markings while exploring should be able to find a portal if they need one.
