Dead By Daylightmay not have an expansive world to explore, that allows the player to learn more about why they are attempting to survive against killersin a world surrounded by fog. However, that doesn’t mean that the game is completely free of it as each killer has a story of how they came to help the entity or how the survivors were captured.

Gradually, more original characters have been added alongside the partnerships of well-known horror titles such asResident EvilandHalloween. Many players question what caused these people to be collected by the Entity as well as what the lore behind the characters is. These are by far thekillers with the deepest loresurrounding their abduction by the entity.
8An Enraged Oni Haunting Fake Samurai
The Oni was a man by the name of Kazan Yamoaka that believedthe privilege of being a Samuraihad been polluted by farmers “pretending”. He therefore broke the code to hunt down all those that he felt were faking this role, being eventually named the Rageful Samurai by a lord.
When getting his revenge on this lord the slaughter caused by the Oni was concluded by the farmers who finally got their revenge, overpowered by the hoard of farmers they tortured him and left him for dead. This is when the Entity took pity on the vengeful Oni and took him to its realm to continue to hunt those it deemed as fake Samurai, leaving black fog where the body once was.
7The Legion Always Worked As One
As the first killer to have several characters for players to try out, The Legion is a group of now Merciless killers that followed their leader Frank all the way to the realm of the Entity to show their dedication.
This group of teenagers were local delinquents whose fun eventually got too dangerous when they were attempting to vandalize a shop one of the members were fired from. It all went wrong, and they wereforced to kill someone, though Frank was the first to hit, he forced the rest of the group to follow, which some did more willingly than others.
6Exploring The Wonders Of Science As The Blight
Talbot Grimes, also known as The Blight, was willing to do anything in order to experiment in the form of alchemy. This started young when he almost got himself killed experimenting with Foxglove, but this only made him want to learn more. In his adult years he continued to excel discovering elixirs to make workers work faster, but hismethods became unorthodox, and it seemed the drug had been killing people.

His work had become a blight on the people, leaving countless dead. But this wasn’t the end of The Blight as his story went even deeper as he continued to experiment before finally giving himself to the Entity with the phrase “Death is only the beginning.”
5Unknown Night With The Nurse
Not much is known about the lore that caused the Nurse to become a part of the Entities games, though herstory is quite tragic, making it an interesting one to explore. Originally known by the name of Sally Smithson, she had dreams of living a normal life before the death of her husband.
With money running thin she was forced to take up a job Crotus Penn Asylum, where nobody wished to work. What Sally saw while working the night shift broke her mind until one mysterious morning fifty patients and four staff members were found dead with Sally being the only survivor.
4How The Clown Begun His Collection
Dead By Daylightcontinues its fear factor with the introduction of the Clown, a large man with a fascination for fingers. Kenneth Chase can be easily described as being a psychopath with all the tell-tale signs beginning with his killing and collecting off things from animals.
This grew until he needed even bigger prey, humans. Players discover how he ran away from home when his first kill was discovered to joining the circus where his prey were easy to catch until he eventually had to flee from his new-found family too. Eventually his roads led him to the Entity.
3Bound By Flesh And Blood: The Twins
Although a scientific wonder that The Twins Charlotte and Victor survived their birth in the 17th century, the midwife that helped their mother couldn’t agree. She fled from the house accusing the woman of being a witch and so the family began to be hunted.

Charlotte wasvery protective of her brother, especially due to him being conjoined to her since birth, but eventually they were caught and experiments were done to them. While attempting to escape Victor dies which leads Charlotte into sorrow as she’s described as cradling his lifeless body every night till eventually her brother is brought back to her by the Entity.
2The Eternal Guilt Of The Artist
Few ofthe killers inDead By Daylightcould be argued as them being taken by the Entity or being turned into killers wasn’t their fault, The Artist is one of these. Carmina Mora spent the majority of her life to believe everything was her fault, from her mother running away to the death of her brother.
The only support she had was from the Crows that even prevented her from leaping from a bridge, even when she found art and pushed it to limits to expose corruption Carmina and her friends were kidnapped. She called upon the crows to save them, but they also killed her friends, another thing she felt guilty of.
1The Huntress Alone In the Woods
Anna by far has the best lore available due to how tragic of a backstory she possesses. While The Huntress was young hermother would prepare herfor surviving in the harsh and solitary forest they lived in, the worst lesson she was ever taught was death as an elk killed her mother.
Anna was cradled by her mother while she died, humming a lullaby to hide the also dying screams of the elk which explains by The Huntress hums while attacking the survivors. As she grew older she began to hunt humans but could never kill little girls as she yearned for a daughter of her own, or perhaps to have her childhood back.
