To date,Dead by Daylighthas 23 DLC options, 10 of which have been collaborations with major horror titles. The first horror crossoverDead by Daylightreleased was withHalloween, adding the iconic Michael Myers as a playable killer.Dead by Daylighthas also released DLC based on other iconic horror franchises, such asSaw,A Nightmare of Elm Street,The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,Evil Dead, andScream. All of these packs add a variety of well-known killers, survivors, and maps to the game, making for interesting new combinationsof gameplay.

Horror franchises aren’t the only collaborationsDead by Daylighthas seen, though. It’s also done crossovers with popular horror video game franchises. Most recently it collaborated withResident Evil, but other franchises likeLeft 4 DeadandSilent Hillhave appeared in the game.Dead by Daylightalso collaborated with the hit Netflix seriesStranger Thingsby introducing the Demogorgon as a killer, Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington as survivors, and the Hawkins National Laboratory as a playable map.

Fear Street Netflix

Dead by Daylightalready has an establishedrelationship with one Netflix IP -Stranger Things- so it’s possible that collaborating with another one wouldn’t be improbable.Fear Streetreleased the first movie of the trilogy at the beginning of July, with the subsequent movies released weekly on Netflix. The movies are based on R.L. Stine’sFear Streetbooks, and each part was met with positive reviews from viewers.

TheFear Streetmovies introduce viewers to a slew of potential new killer and survivor characters, whether it be the monsters that Deena Johnson and her friends fight off or thewitch behind the evil in Shadyside. Additionally, the Shadyside Mall would be a great map for players to explore considering it’s where the first on-screen murder and near-final showdown occur.Fear Streetalso starsStranger Things’ Maya Hawke and Sadie Sink, though theirStranger Thingscharacters Robin and Max cannot be played as survivors inDead by Daylight.

Besides being a well-done horror trilogy,Fear Streetalso did a good job in terms of representation. While horror movies tend to have some amount of death in them, Black actors are disproportionately likely the first to be killed in the genre. WhileFear Streetstill killed quite a fewpeople, it’s notable because it didn’t kill its main Black or queer characters.Dead by Daylightis incredibly popular with the LGBTQIA+ community, so adding in Deena and her love interest, Sam, as survivors would be a nice way to see representation in-game.

Dead by Daylightis known for its online gameplay and horror collaborations, so it would be fun and exciting to see characters fromFear Streetmake an appearance. There’s no official word on this collaboration happening, but in the meantime, players can take advantage of all the otherhorror DLC crossovers inDead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylightis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch,  Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
