Walmart is currently offeringDeath Strandingfor $29.99, which is 33% cheaper than its normal price of $44.99. Immediately upon its releaseDeath Strandingreceived mixed reviews from both players and critics but was mostly praised due to its unique gameplay, and exploration of real-life themes. The game revolves around the character of Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus), who finds himself carrying the responsibility of reconnecting isolated colonies via a wireless communications network.
Moreover, the Collector’s Edition ofDeath Strandinghas also been reduced to a cheaper price. Originally, the special edition retails for $199.99, but antonline, a reputable reseller at Walmart, is now offering the Collector’s Edition for $149.99.Death Stranding’sspecial bundleincludes the game in a steelbook case, a full-sized BB-pod statue, Ludens Keychain, and a Bridges Cargo Case. It is worth pointing out that Walmart’s deal onDeath Stranding’s Collector’s Editionis one of the cheapest right now, and is perfect for the most dedicatedDeath Strandingfans.
Now thatDeath Strandinghas been out for about four months now, many are wonderingwhat’s next for Kojima Productions. In an interview with Famitsu Weekly Magazine last month, Hideo Kojima revealed that the studio is looking into developing smaller-scale games. As of the moment, Kojima did not delve into details as to what he is referring to, but many predict that these games could be in the form of episodic or digital-only formats. While this approach is an alien concept when it comes to Kojima-made games, it is interesting to see what the developer will come up with in the future.
Meanwhile, a rumor is currently circulating that Kojima may be working on somethingDeath Strandingrelated this year. According to unconfirmed reports,Kojima is looking to make a follow-up toDeath Stranding, but instead of taking the usual route and making a video game sequel, it has been reported that Kojima’s unconfirmedDeath Strandingproject will be taking the form of a manga. Of course, there are numerous video games that are deeply linked to a manga such as thePokemonfranchise, so a manga sequel ofDeath Strandingis not at all surprising if rumors are to be believed.
Death Strandingis available now on PS4 and will launch to the PC on July 06, 2025.
