Summary
Destiny 2players have expressed their frustration with Immaru’s dialogue playing every time a Headless One is killed in Haunted Sectors. This is a part of the ongoingDestiny 2Festival of the Lost event, which gives players the opportunity to obtain new loot and rewards.
Destiny 2has 4 major limited time events each a year: Solstice of Heroes, Guardian Games, Festival of the Lost, and The Dawning. Festival of the Lost arrives in time for Halloween, where players have access to a limited-time activity called Haunted Sectors. This year’sDestiny 2Festival of the Lost eventalso introduces Legend Haunted Sectors, and a new way to focus Exotic armor without having to use rare materials. While most of the mechanics of the Haunted Sectors remain unchanged, players aren’t happy with a new addition for this year.
The players’ annoyance is directed towards dialogue lines from Immaru, Savathun’s Ghost, who played a pretty important role instory ofDestiny 2Season of the Witch. This season saw Savathun being resurrected to help the Guardians deal with Xivu Arath, but the Witch Queen also won her freedom by keeping Immaru in the Vanguard’s custody. Considering Immaru is a permanent resident at The Tower for now, their voice has started to appear in the Haunted Sectors, which players are quite annoyed with. However, it’s not Immaru that players find annoying, but the frequency at which their dialogue plays in the Haunted Sectors. Some lines like “Heads up, Guardian!” and “Don’t disappoint me neon nerd” are played every time a Headless One dies in the Haunted sectors, which has even prompted some players to turn off dialogue in the game.
This year’s Festival of the Lost has also introduced new Eerie engrams, which allow players to focus the festival weapons. Along with this,Destiny 2has also introduced its first ever all-black shader in the form of a Memento. Bungie’s decision to add an all-black shader as a single-use Memento did not sit well with the fans.
Aside from this, Bungie has also detailed its plans for the upcoming Season 23, which involves a lot of Exotic armor tuning. Additionally,Destiny 2Season 23 will also being phasing out Legendary Shardsin the game, which will be completely removed with the launch of The Final Shape DLC.
