The very anticipatedWitch Queenexpansion forDestiny 2is just a week away, and while Bungie has been relentlessly teasing more and more of what the gameplay loop will look like, as well as what the campaign entails, there’s still a lot that players know nothing about. Bungie shed more light on theVoid 3.0 changesvery recently, explaining how all classes will get their Super abilities and what their respective Aspects do. New Exotics were also showcased in trailers and posts, showcasing their perks and how they work.

Today, Bungie released the official launch trailer forThe Witch Queen. The video shows the reactions of iconic characters fromDestiny 2to the news thatSavathun has stolen the Lightfor herself and her army of Hive Guardians, becoming the ultimate threat in the universe. New story sequences also appear throughout the trailer, with Savathun talking to someone, referring to them as an old friend that she’s been chasing for a long time - possibly hinting at this entity being the Traveler itself.

Despite its very brief appearance, one of the most notable additions to this trailer is what looks to be the introductory cutscene fromThe Witch Queen’s new Raid, showing six Guardians overlooking a swamp-like area with a Pyramid Ship at its core. It was already rumored that the Pyramid Ship inside Savathun’s Throne World was going to be the location for the expansion’s Raid, and the launch trailer forThe Witch Queenfurther proves that. Although the specifics of the Raid remain unknown at this stage, it’s very likely thatDestiny 2players will be tasked with infiltrating the spacecraft and unraveling its mysteries.

Destiny 2’s Raids are always considered one of the best experiences the game has to offer, and withThe Witch Queen’s release being surrounded by hype and promises on Bungie’s part, it’s not impossible that the new Raid will be further proof of that statement. The Witch Queen’s Raid launch date was revealeda few weeks ago, scheduled for release on March 5, and it seems that after the World First race ends, players will also unlock more Fragments for the newly reworked Void subclasses.

And yet, not all players are happy with the state of the Void 3.0 update, especially sinceBungie announced thatDestiny 2’s Titans and Hunters will undergo nerfswith the update. These include a 10% damage buff reduction to the Sentinel’s Ward of Dawn and the removal of the Nightstalker’s Heart of the Pack buff and the half of the Combat Provisions perk that worked with Omnioculus.

Destiny 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
