Disney Dreamlight Valley’s A Rift in Timeexpansion invites players to explore Eternity Isle, a massive new region featuring three biomes, each featuring four unlockable areas. In the base game, players would unlock an entire biome in the Valley usingDreamlight, a currency obtained by completing daily repeatable tasks called Dreamlight Duties.

On Eternity Isle, Dreamlight has been replaced by anew resource, Mist, which players can earn by completing Mist Duties, clearing Splinters of Fate, and via Timebending, a new treasure-hunting mechanic utilizingthe Royal Hourglass tool. Instead of using Mist to unlock an entire biome at once, each biome is divided into separate, unlockable areas, each requiring a specific amount of Mist to unlock.
