2020 has been a big year for one of gaming’s most significant icons. The Doom Slayer returned in this year’sDoom Eternalthat released back in March and the sequel’s first story DLC drops tomorrow. As more players come to appreciate theoverpowered lunacy of the Doom Slayer, one fan decided to create a custom toy for the ultraviolent demi-god.
While mostDoomfans are focused on therecent reveal of the Doom Slayer Nendoroid, a Reddit user opted to share their own kid friendly model of the character. Redditor I-Have-An-Alibi posted an image on the general gaming subreddit showing off a much blocker version of the Slayer.

I-Have-An-Alibi created a custom Lego minifigurine based on the destroyer of demons and savior of the universe. The Lego form of the Doom Slayer, orcanonically known as the Doom Guy, captures the elements of both worlds with the charm of Legos matched with the metal influence ofDoom. I-Have-An-Alibi opted to attach the two weapons most associated with the Doom Slayer, those being the iconic double-barreled shotgun and the Slayer’s retractable DoomBlade.
While the Reddit post only displays four angles for the minifig, the craftmanship is evident even from a glance. While I-Have-No-Alibi did not go into howDoom Eternal’s Slayer was converted to Lego form, it does appear to be a custom job instead of a 3D printing project. As users questioned the likely methods as to how the Doom Slayer Lego model was achieved, others were able to recognize the pieces. User WorstMedicalAdvice identified that the armor was from the “cmf series 13 galaxy trooper” and noted the helmet was also from a Lego set. As for the greaves, WorstMedicalAdvice believes they are from Brick Warriors custom models. As for the the capturing of the Doom Slayer’s green shine, that was likely a paint job.
It’s definitely a treat to see these kinds of projects come to life through the dedication and passion of gaming fandoms. TheDoomfranchise has long been a source for gamers to show their craftmanship. One way that players continually display their allegiance to the Slayeris throughDoomcosplay projects. While this Lego Slayer may not have quite the same impact as some of the incredible cosplays for the character, many posters on the Reddit thread are very interested in an officialDoomLego set.
This new Reddit project comes in at a pretty significant time for the most recent entry of theDoomfranchise.Doom Eternal’sAncient GodsDLC releases tomorrowbringing the Doom Slayer back for another round of carnage. Being the first new bit of Story DLC for the title, it may even flesh out the Doom Slayer’s personality just a bit more.
Doom Eternalis out now for the PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with plans to launch on PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X later this year.
