Back in January, Bandai Namco announcedDragon Ball FighterZPass 2, which was ultimately to add six new DLC fighters to the popular fighting game. At this point, five of theseDragon Ball FighterZDLC charactersare available, with only Broly (Dragon Ball Super) remaining unreleased. That said, it seems that this will not be the case for much longer, as Broly (DBS)’s release date has seemingly been revealed, and it is right around the corner.
Specifically, the most recent issue of Japanese magazineJumpindicates that Broly (DBS) is set to release inDragon Ball FighterZnext Thursday, December 5. This is sure to be exciting news to players that have been waiting nearly a year to add Broly (DBS) to their teams, and while fans should temper their expectations untilBandai Namcooffers definitive word, it appears that these players' wait is nearly over.

In preface of that official word from theFighterZ’s publisher, players can acquaint themselves with the highly-anticipated DLC character by way of a recently-releasedBroly (DBS) gameplay trailer. This video showcases Broly (DBS) in high-intensity action, and it offers fans a glimpse at the character’s grappling and super. Indeed, the trailer suggests that Broly(DBS) is a force to be reckoned with, and many players will be happy to see him finally join theDragon Ball FighterZroster.
Additionally, scans from October’s issue ofJumprevealedBroly (DBS)‘sFighterZstatsfor fans that want to know even more about this forthcoming DLC character. These scans state that Broly (DBS) has a Power stat ranking of SS, a Reach stat ranking of SS, an Energy stat ranking of SS, a Technique stat ranking of S, and a Speed stat ranking of C, which is all befitting of a character whose style is said to be focused around “powerful single hits and long-reaching throws.”
Since the release ofDragon Ball FighterZback in 2018, 13 DLC characters have been added to the game, with Broly(DBS) making 14. This is already quite a lot of post-launch support, and time will tell if Arc System Works and Bandai Namco have more planned for this anime-fueled fighter.
