The 10th-anniversary website launched a few weeks prior, leading to speculation and rumors about a potential sequel. The event allowed Itsuno to announceDragon’s Dogma 2to viewers around the world and thank fans for their continued support of the series. In the wake of the announcement, interest inDragon’s Dogmais seemingly at an all-time high.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisenreached its highest concurrent peak on Steam roughly 6 years after the original release. The all-time peak was 27,368 players around the time of release and the current 24-hour peak is a total of 6,582 players. According to analyst Benji-Sales, the current 24-hour peak is the highest since February 2016. June 2022 proved to be one of the most successful months forDragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisenon the Steam platform.
The announcement of a sequel contributed greatly toDragon’s Dogma’snewfound success and surging player count.
