OneElden Ringplayer’s fight attempt with the Legend Boss Starscourge Radahn ended in disaster and eventually the player’s downfall. There is a multitude of bosses inElden Ring, approximately 200+ that the player can go up against and fight. While some of them are repeats, likeElden Ring’s ever-dreaded Erdtree Burial Watchdog, there are the more well-known ones, the ones that actually matter more to the game’s story. There are of course the bosses such as Godfrey and Margit, but there are even some that are optional, yet still hold significance, such as Starscourge Radahn, a fight that has been a bane to many players, as it was to this one player for one unexpected reason.

Starscourge Radahn is a Legend Boss who fought in the horrid lands of Caelid. While optional, his fight is an important part of Ranni’s questline and a way to get into some ofElden Ring’s more interesting areas. His fight is as much a spectacle as it is a challenge, asking the player to summon as many of their NPC friends as they can while going up against Radahn’s volleys of arrows and attacks, not to mention his famous attack where he falls upon the player like a meteor. While not the hardest boss like the infamousMalenia and her unexpected second phase, he can still put up a fight.

And for this oneElden Ringplayer, they sure did encounter a fight that they would remember. Posting to r/Eldenring, user NizzyNeal uploaded a video of an attempt against Radahn. In the video, the player is summoning NPCs and then goes to get on Torrent when suddenly they are forced to stay hovering in the air from what looks to be a bug. As they stay in the air, they can only watch as Radahn rains arrows on them, killing them and ending that attempt. Some players have been known tokill Radahn while he was mid-air, which makes this an amusing little bit of revenge against that.

In the comments, many made jokes at theElden Ringplayer’s expense, saying they shouldn’t be surprised as Radahn knows how to use gravity magic, and that was just a showcase of it. Meanwhile, others speak of their own experiences with this strange bug, which has been in the game since its release with seemingly no fix from any of the patches FromSoftware put out for it.

There are many things to account for when entering a fight inElden Ring, and sadly bugs need to be one of them. In too many situations bugs or glitches have led to a player’s frustrating death when they did nothing wrong. While there are times when a glitch has made a fight easier, like when oneglitch was able to kill Mohg without any player input, that won’t always be the case. When out in the field, make sure to be aware of all possible outcomes.
