The Sorcerer-King Orgnum deck is one of the more difficult decks to earn inElder Scrolls Online’s new card game, but it’s well worth hunting down. The deck is all about gaining Power and Prestige with waves of cards, and can be unlocked by beating all five of the Tales of Tribute founders spread across Tamriel.
Sorcerer-King Orgnum: Patron Overview
The Sorcerer-King Orgnumdeck inElder Scrolls Onlineis all about gaining Prestige directly, with some Power cards and control cards mixed in there too. The deck has few ways to generate Coin directly, so be sure to build an Orgnum deck alongside one that has moneymaking potential like Hlaalu.
The Patron abilities for Orgnum are all about gaining Power based on the number of cards in your deck. The number required to gain a point of Power decreases from Neutral to Favored, and when Favored, players also gain a Maormer Boarding Party card in their deck. This helps to bolster your deck’s total number of cards, increasing the amount of Power gained from his Patron ability. Orgnum is aPatron well worth investing in, but the lack of Coin in the deck limits its ability to trigger this Favored ability without support.

The Orgnum deck gains its strength from gaining Prestige directly and building a vast number of cards to gain the full benefit of Orgnum’s Patron ability. The two best Agents in the deck are the Snakeskin Freebooter and Serpentguard Rider as they have utility beyond their play effect. As long as one of these is on the field, playing just one other Orgnum card guarantees either Tavern manipulation or additional cards in your deck, which in turn help to trigger more Combos.

The Pyandonean War Fleet is one card that isn’t worth the price without the Combo attached to it. The Sea Serpent Colossus, on the other hand, is very cheap at just 2 Coin to purchase and has a double play effect of increasing Prestige and Coin - plus, it has a Combo for Power gain. The Summerset Sacking card is another that’s worth picking up for how cheap it is for thebenefit it provides to Prestige. It is worth noting that many of these cards are upgraded from other cards, and players must find clues to locate and collect these enhanced versions.
Strategies and Synergies With Other Patrons
Orgnum’s win condition is building Prestige consistently so that your opponent slowly but surely falls behind into an unwinnable position. Having cards that provide both Prestige and Power allows Orgnum-centric decks to rapidly build Prestige if they don’t have to kill enemy Agents, as Power is converted to Prestige if unused.
The deck’s main problem is generating gold, so choose Hlaalu alongside Orgnum whenpicking Patrons at the start. The Hlaalu deck is also useful for the Orgnum deck as there are many cards that let players take cards from the Tavern for free, bolstering deck totals to increase the amount of Power Orgnum’s Patron ability generates.
