However, one creative gamer aims to transport a life-like version of New York City during Christmas toFar Cry 5.

Not only is the creator packed with a slew of other robust features, including assets from Ubisoft titles such asWatch DogsandAssassin’s Creed, players can produce fully-fledged co-op missions, mazes, mini-games, and competitive multiplayer arenas. Fortunately, the depth of the options at the player’s disposal is enough to make some rather remarkable maps inFar Cry 5, including a 1980s version of New York City during the December holiday season. Gaining over 700 upvotes and near-universal acclaim, Reddit user Blitzmensch1996 shared five images of their incredible in-development project onto the communityFar Crysubreddit.
Making up the gallery is a plethora of pictures taken in-game, all of them being scenic cinematic shots that perfectly showcase what a frosty night in a frostier New York City would look like if it were inFar Cry 5. Much like theFar Cry 5fan recreation of Skyrim, leading the post is a magnificently detailed shot. Slightly elevated and using a wide lens, a half-snow buried cop car leads in the forefront, with its sirens illuminating the surrounding area in chilling neo-noir fashion.
In summary, the map editor inFar Crygames has become a solidified feature within the series that fans have always used to build unique maps and scenes. With that being the case, players can only hope that developers will bring the mode back sinceUbisoft discontinued the map editor inFar Cry 6.
