Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Editionhas been finally released, meaning that players can fully experience the game once more on modern consoles. This also includes thevarious side queststhat players can complete as they journey through the world in search of Myrrh drops.
Many side quests inCrystal Chronicles Remasteredwon’t be available until certain years with some being available for only a limited time. However, one side quest reaps a reward so beneficial that it is recommended to start as quickly as possible.

This quest is the Runaway Princess Quest. While it will take time to complete, its completion will reward all players in the caravan with100,000 gileach. With gil occasionally being hard to come by, this can completely change the playthrough around for players who devote time to this quest.
Players can start this quest initially around year 3 or year 4. It can be started by talking to Knocfelna in Alfitaria. He is a Lilty guard that can be found patrolling the streets. By talking to him, players can learn of the missing Princess Fiona, thehalf Clavet and half Liltyprincess of Alfitaria.
After talking to Knocfelna, the party must collect a drop of Myrrh to get the next step to activate. AnyCrystal Chroniclesdungeonwill do as long as it provides Myrrh after defeating the boss.
The next step will require players to go to Marr’s Pass and speak to Te Odow, a Selkie peddler. She will only appear onodd numbered years. Te Odow will give more information on the princess’s possible location. It may require players talking to her multiple times for her to mention a Selkie maiden. Players will need to get another drop of Myrrh before proceeding.
Next, players will need to go to the east side of the Jegon River. The disguised princess will be there. After talking with her, players will need to leave and come back to find Knocfelna there. Players will need to talk to him next.
After collecting another drop of Myrrh, players will need to the Fields of Fum. Knocfelna and Princess Fiona are there, so players will need to talk to both of them once more. Players will need to collect yet another drop of Myrrh for the next step to become available.
The next location the two will be in will be Leuda. Players will need to talk to both of them and once again collect a drop of Myrrh. Knocfelna and Fiona will still be there, but they will say different things. A cutscene will play upon the players' departure from Leuda.
The final step is to head back to Alfitaria and collect the reward of 100,000 gil.
