Fans will expect the PlayStation 5 to deliver a significantly better console than the last generation, purely because of the improvements Sony have made in the past.

The new PS5 controller looks remarkably like that of the PS4. There are some slight differences, the most notable being that the controller now has a slightly more square touch-pad. Unfortunately, the images do not show one of the bigger changes for the controller, thelarger adaptive triggers that are set to be included on the DualShock 5. Some fans will have wanted a more revolutionary take on the traditional controller, while others will be happy to look at the subtle differences. This may not be the revolution some had hoped for, but the larger changes will likely be in the console itself.
There are plenty ofrumours about the underside of the PlayStation 5 controllerand it will be interesting to see what the full controller looks like. At the moment, fans can be fairly certain that the front-facing controller will be familiar to them and will not take long to get used to. However, additional and larger adaptive triggers will undoubtedly improve players experience and add to the immersion.
There is still plenty of information to be shared about the PlayStation 5, but it appears that surprises will largely be in the console itself. Fans will expecthuge improvements in the new consoleand if Sony delivers on this it looks like the incredible legacy of the PlayStation will continue. Questions still linger over the PS5 and the controller could be changed before the release of the console. However, many fans will be happy to have an updated version of a tried and tested controller.
