Epic Games has revealed the premium battle pass forFortniteChapter 3 Season 4, and it features a variety of original characters plus Spider-Gwen fromSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. With each new season ofFortnite, an entirely new battle pass is released featuring up to 200 tiers of unlockable rewards. Season 4 ofFortniteis no different. Dozens of new unlocks including skins, emotes, pickaxes, and more are now available to earn by gaining experience in the battle royale.
Like how Season 3’s biggest reward was Darth Vader,Fortnite’s latest season has madeSpider-Gwenits crown jewel. In order to unlock Spider-Gwen,Fortniteplayers will need to reach level 100. Even that won’t fully unlock Spider-Gwen, however. In order to earn Spider-Gwen’s maskless style, players will have to delve intoFortnite’s bonus battle pass unlocks. Level 123 should be enough. It’s possible another Spider-Gwen unlock will be available later in the bonus levels of the battle pass, but they have yet to be revealed.

Other than Spider-Gwen,FortniteChapter 3 Season 4 has six other skins that can be unlocked in this season’s battle pass. The first skin, and a major focus for this season’s battle pass, is Paradigm, who now bears the face of actorBrie Larson. After Paradigm, there’s the chrome-handed Byte, bear-in-a-bear Grriz, Meowcles' sister Meow Skulls, cell-shaded Lennox Rose, as well as Twyn and their alter ego.
To clarify, these skins are all a part of theFortnitepremium battle pass, but there is a free battle pass as well. The rewards inFortnite’s free Season 4 battle pass are significantly less impressive and feature no skins. Instead, there are some gliders, backpacks, weapon skins, and some V-Bucks.
Those hoping for a quick start toFortniteChapter 3 Season 4 can capitalize on some goodwill fromEpic Gamesright now. There’s a special Kickstart quest series to start the season with tasks including “Eliminate Opponents” and “Play Matches.” Each of these quests reward 35k experience, which should make for a quick 5-10 levels. There are still daily and weekly quests to complete, too, but no story quests just yet.
Reception to Season 4’s battle pass has been typically negative within theFortnitecommunity. It’s very common for players to let out their frustrations aboutFortnite’s monetization around the reveal of each new battle pass. And, in all fairness, Epic isn’t trying anything new withChapter 3 Season 4’s battle pass. It is arguably still the gold standard for battle passes in the gaming industry, though.
Fortniteis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
