Epic Games has unveiled the official theme forFortniteChapter 3 Season 4. Each season ofFortnitehas had its own theme, going back to the very first season’s slogan of First Flight. The theme typically prioritizes sounding cool first, while hinting at changes to the battle royale or story elements. In other words, the theme forFortniteChapter 3 Season 4 isn’t going to spoil what will come next season, but it should help build some excitement on the eve ofFortnite’s seasonal transition.Over the past two weeks,Fortnitehas been teasing the upcoming seasonal change, though in a confusing move the tweets have all now been deleted. The teasers have featured a pool of chrome liquid with a hand reaching out as if they’re sinking in the liquid. The hands come from different characters, though the only recognizable hand has been forSpider-Gwen. The official teaser art features theFortnitelogo as well as the word Paradise in all capital letters hovering above what looks like a pool of iridescent chrome liquid. There’s no real clue as to what the liquid is or how the theme ties into it.Fortniteplayers will just have to find out on their own.

FortniteChapter 3 Season 3 will go offline Saturday night at 11:00 PM PT or Sunday early morning at 2:00 AM ET. Exactly when the servers will come back online for Season 4 isn’t entirely clear, butFortniteplayerscan expect a new Season 4 trailer and an accompanying battle pass video as soon as Season 3 ends. The trailers should reveal the bulk of surprises thatFortniteChapter 3 Season 4 will be based on.

Paradise implies that the islandFortniteis based on will be the perfect place to have fun, perhaps a continuation ofSeason 3’s Vibin' theme.Fortnite’s past history of conflict, not to mention the teasers featuring characters drowning in chrome, imply that Paradise may be an ironic theme.

After the extended Season 3 over the summer,Fortniteplayers likely won’t be too worried about what Season 4’s theme is. It’ll just be good to have something happening inFortnite’s storyagain and to have the world moving forward. Paradise, in that regard, is a fitting name, as paradise forFortniteplayers is new content.
