Genshin Impacthas been bringing back banner re-runs frequently, and it seems as though every new update contains a new character and a banner re-run. The official stream for update 2.5 revealed the content players will face in the current update, including a double banner re-run as well as the new playable characters Yae Miko.
Genshin Impact2.3 was the first update to introduce a double banner re-run meaning that players will have the chance to opt for two banners at the same time. This is probably miHoYo’s way of compensating for the absence of a brand new five-star character in a banner cycle.

After weeks of rumors and speculations, the officialGenshin ImpactVersion 2.5 Livestream has finally confirmed the three limited five-star characters that will receive their own rate-up banner in the upcoming update. The first banner cycle will bring the new long-awaited Electro vision holder Yae Miko, who’s confirmed to be a catalyst user. The second part of the update will introduce anotherGenshin Impactdouble banner re-runfeaturing Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi.
Sangonomiya Kokomi is a Hydro Catalyst character and one of thestrongest supports inGenshin Impact. With her excellent healing skills and respectable elemental damage output, she would make an excellent addition to any party, and many players online have noted she could be of great value in the upper levels of the current Spiral Abyss.
Raiden Shogun has become one of, if not the most popular character in the game, and she currently holds the record for being the most pulled character on a single banner cycle. Most five-stars are required to be pulled numerous times tobuild up their constellationsin order to awake their full potential, like Xiao or Childe. Luckily that is not the case with Raiden Shogun since the difference between C0 and C6 is not as big for her, as for most other characters.
Since her appearance in multipleGenshin Impactquests, as well as two update previews, Yae Miko has become a fan-favorite and one of the most awaited characters to join the playable roster. The fact that her ascension stat is Crit rate means that she will most likely be a DPS character in the game which is unusual for a Catalyst user. Her elemental skill will allow her to move rapidly, leaving behind “Lethal Sakura” which periodically deals damage to one nearby enemy. This means that she could also havestrong sub-DPS capabilities.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version in development.
