Having two Hydro users in a Hu Tao team composition, for example, enhances her HP by 25%, which is massive for all her kit. Same with having two Pyro users with a DPS like Xiao or Diluc, buffing their ATK by 25% will notably improve their gameplay and DMG.
Overview - Elemental Resonance In Genshin Impact
Generally speaking,Genshin Impactplayers receive the benefits of an elemental resonance when more than one character on a team uses the same element. There are exceptions (as will be explored in the article) but this is the general mechanics at work;every character on the team benefits from any resonances applied.
Of course,Genshin Impactfans will need to think strategically about using resonances. For example, players can use a resonance to boost an area where they are lacking, like Pyro resonance to increase ATK and Hydro resonance to add HP.
Players can also have more than one elemental resonance inGenshin Impact. To do so, they simply need to make a team consisting of two characters from one element and two from another.
Four Different Elements - Protective Canopy
The most basic elemental resonance inGenshin Impactis the Protective Canopy. This elemental resonance can be activated whenever the player has a team of four unique elements, making it a good beginning resonance for players still getting used to the game.
Anemo Resonance - Impetuous Winds
The first element for all Travelers in the game, Anemo resonance is perhaps the second most common beginner’s resonance (outside of maybe Pyro or Cryo.)Impetuous Winds is the best resonance for exploration, especially when paired with characters that have an extra effect.

Electro Resonance - High Voltage
Considering Electro characters are always adept at generating Energy, Electro resonance is likely one of the worst elemental resonances inGenshin Impact. For example, although she’s Energy-hungry,Raiden Shogun can play just fine even without this resonancesince her whole kit revolves around charging Energy. The same case can be seen in other units like Razor and Kujou Sara. One good thing about the High Voltage is that the resonance reduces the time players are affected by Hydro, making freezing and Electro-Charged troubles less common.
Geo Resonance - Enduring Rock
Geo elemental resonance inGenshin Impactis arguably better than Pyro resonance in terms of its effect, but not so much in practicality. If players manage tobring two Geo charactersand one dedicated shielder, then they can enjoy a boost in both offense and defense, where a 15% DMG bonus will prove to be crucial.
Hydro Resonance - Soothing Water
The old Hydro resonance inGenshin Impactboosts incoming healing, but it’s later changed toincreasing HP. Of course, the new effect is far more useful than the former, especially since many characters can benefit from an HP boost. Dendro Resonance - Sprawling Greenery
Dendro Resonance heavily increases Elemental Mastery (EM), which makes sense since the element revolves aroundDendro elemental reaction inGenshin Impact. Players will automatically gain 50 EM when the requirement is fulfilled, then they can get up to 50 more while triggering the required reactions.
