AGenshin Impactfan has created an interesting chart explaining how to trigger every elemental reaction in the game. Apart from the Traveler, every character in the playable roster is equipped with one out of seven different elements.

Combining these elements can trigger various elemental reactions that have different effects and play a huge role in the overall damage output for each team composition. With the introduction of the new Dendro element inGenshin Impactupdate 3.0, the game also added a number of new elemental reactions that are tied to the element.

Reddit user Jeffu_pisces has shared an infographic that makes it much easier to understand howall elemental reactions inGenshin Impactwork. The new Dendro element has completely shifted the character meta in the game as it gave much-needed flexibility to the combat system, however, a big part of the community still seems confused about some new elemental reactions. Players don’t need to rely on one or two types of team compositions in order to get the highest damage numbers in the game now. While the chart gathered a lot of attention in the community with over 1.3k upvotes, a number of fans have pointed out that it’s missing one elemental reaction named Shatter.

It should be noted that Shatter is a very niche elemental reaction that can be triggered if a Frozen enemy is targeted with heavy attacks which include Geo elemental damage, explosives, or Claymore attacks. Multiple replies in the comment section that while there is still a lot of hype around the new Sumeru region, it’s safe to say that the new Dendro element could be thebest additionGenshin Impacthas ever seen.

A number of forgotten characters like Keqing have been brought back to the meta with new elemental reactions like Aggravate which plays to her strengths. Even though she was once considered to be one of thebest DPS characters inGenshin Impactalongside Diluc, the majority of players have replaced her with new characters that have a much stronger kit.

Another reason why players preferred other DPS characters over Keqing is the fact that, before Dendro was introduced, Electro didn’t have the potential to trigger elemental reactions that provide strong damage multipliers. Even the new character Nilou who is expected to arrive on the second banner for the ongoingGenshin Impactversion 3.1has an interesting passive talent that turns the Dendro Cores that are dropped by triggering Bloom into Bountiful Cores which have a much stronger effect.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
