TheFleeting Colors in Flight: Lantern Rite eventoffers players of Adventure Rank 2 or above five days of free gifts in the mail. These pieces of mail are labeled “Flowing Lights and Colors” - Lantern Rite Gifts (1/5) to (5/5) are distributed daily from February 9 to the end ofGenshin Impact2.4. According to the verifiedGenshin ImpactTwitter account, an issue has arisen on the Asian servers that led to players receiving two copies of the “Flowing Lights and Colors” - Lantern Rite Gifts (1/5) mail, each of which contains an Intertwined Fate.
Apparently, the developers have decided to address the issue not by removing the extra mail–and the second Intertwined Fate that came with it–but by making sure everyone gets the same number of presents. In a second tweet, they announced that all Travelers will receive two copies of the mail in question. Travelers who already claimed a second mail will not be able to claim a third, but no rewards issued will be withdrawn, either. This is well-timed forfans of Zhongli and Ganyu, who are featured in the current event banner.
As of writing, it appears that fans are excited to receive a free gift, even if it stems from a technical error on miHoYo’s end. A free Intertwined Fate may seem like the ideal way to bid farewell to 2.4 and welcome the upcomingGenshin Impact 2.5update. Several fans replied to the Twitter posts by sharing their relief that miHoYo wasn’t planning to deny players who accepted the double mail the rest of the rewards. One player excitedly reported that the extra Intertwined Fate helped them summon Zhongli from the banner.
Genshin Impactis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
