Genshin Impacthas recently added a new section to the map called Dragonspine. In this new area, players will find a newDragonspine Statue of the Seven, stone tablets, new enemies, and even new materials to farm. Two of these new materials are the hard-to-find Rime-Worn Crystals and Rime-Worn Fragments.
Rime-Worn Fragments and Crystals
For the holiday season, there is a new event inGenshin ImpactcalledThe Chalk Prince and the Dragon. This event will be live until January 6th, 2021, so players will need to hurry to complete all the event’s quests, and Rime-Worn Crystals and Fragments are both necessary materials to complete Act 1. The rewards for completing the quests that require these two items will get playersfree Primogems and Moraas well as other in-game goodies.

Getting Fragments and Crystals
The Rime-Worn Fragments and Crystals will not drop inGenshin Impactuntil players complete the questFestering Desire. After that is complete, these materials will be found in the Dragonspine area only. UnlikeDragonspine’s other material Starsilverhowever, players will have to kill enemies in order to get some.
How to get Rime-Worn Fragments
Rime-Worn Fragments have a much higher drop rate than the Crystals do, but are still fairly few and far between. In order to get them, players will have to kill enemies in the Dragonspine area. Every enemy has a chance to drop on of these Fragments, even basichilichurls, but some enemies appear to have a higher chance of doing so. These enemies include:
When out hunting, verify to be wary of winter Snowstorms and Sheer Cold; always keep a Pyro character in waiting or players canlevel up the Frostbearing Treein order to get a diagram for the Warming Bottle, which will help battle against Sheer Cold.
How to get Rime-Worn Crystals
InGenshin Impact’s new Dragonspine location, players can also get Rime-Worn Crystals from enemies as a rare drop. These are even harder to find than the Fragments, with only about one dropping for every four Fragments. They are obtained in the same way though; Crystals can drop from any enemy in Dragonspine, but drop more often from these creatures:
