Genshin Impactdoesn’t usually have an issue where characters need a nerf or a buff. This mostly comes from the fact that there’s no PVP content in the game that justifies character adjustments. However, the same can’t be said about the newGenshin ImpactGenius Invokation TCG game mode.

Since players can battle each other in the new card game, it’s understandable if someGenshin ImpactGenius Invokation TCG cards ended up getting nerfed or buffed. Currently, there are some cards and abilities in the game that don’t get much popularity or are simply too impractical to use. Here are some examples.
5Barbara’s Elemental Burst
Barbara has an amazing Elemental Burst that grants4 HP to all characters, but it has a demanding3 Energyrequirement. In a typical battle, players would only switch to Barbara to cast her Elemental Skill, which means it’ll take5 roundsto get 3 Energy. In most duels, round 5 would be a late-game match where damage should be maximized to defeat the enemy, which means Barbara’s 3 Energy likely will end up being ignored.

Therefore, to make hermore viable as a healer inGenshin Impact, her HP recovery and Energy demand can be changed. This is more of an adjustment than a buff, but it’d be great if Barbara’s Burst has a 2 Energy requirement instead of 3. Then, lower the healing count to3 HP for the most injured character and 2 HP for everyone else.
4Ningguang’s Talent Card And Elemental Skill
When compared to other characters, Ningguang is really underwhelming. First, her Talent card only grants+1 DMG if Jade Screen is present. This is really badwhen looking atGenshin Impactcharacters like Chongyunand Ayaka that get a +1 DMG with little hassle. The thing is, there are a lot of reasons why the current effect is terrible:
Therefore, the effect should instead be changed to something likegain +1 DMG for 2 rounds after casting Elemental Skill.
Next,Ningguang has aGenshin ImpactElemental Burstthat costs 3 Energy and 3 Dice. This ability deals6 DMG, with+2 DMG if Jade Screen exists. This means, with Ningguang’s Talent Card and Jade Screen, her Burst can deal9 DMGinstead of 6.
The problem is, Jade Screen is way too easy to destroy. Dealing two instances of damage is beyond easy, which means most of the time,Genshin ImpactNingguangwill not be enjoying the DMG bonus from Jade Screen. To help with this issue, the usage count of Jade Screen should be buffed. So, instead of2 DMG + 2 usages, Ningguang’s Elemental Skill should be adjusted to1 DMG + 3 usages. This way, it’ll be far easier for players to maximize Ningguang’s Burst DMG.
3Elemental Resonance: Impetuous Wind
The Anemo Resonance card basically grants afree fast switch. By spending1 Anemo Dice,players can switchGenshin Impactcharacterand gain1 Omni Element Diceafterward (this is considered a Fast Action).

When compared to cards like Electro Resonance which grants1 Energyor Hydro Resonance which has a4 HP healing, a simple “free switch” is extremely underwhelming, especially considering having 2 Anemo in a team is not ideal in the first place. Therefore, the effect can be adjusted to grant2 Omni Element Dice.
2Elemental Resonance: Enduring Rock
Geo Resonancecard is really hard to use inGenshin Impact, and it’s basically only viable for Noelle. This is really bad since Ningguang and Stonehide Lawachurl still exist, yet they can’t benefit from the Resonance card without triggering Crystallized reaction.
To gain the+3 Shieldfrom this card, there are two conditions that need to be met:
Note that damage reduction abilities like Ningguang’s Jade Screen, Xingqiu’s Rain Sword, or Ganyu’s Ice Lotus are not considered a Shield. So far,the only way to gain Shield is from Noelle’s Elemental Skill, Diona’s Elemental Skill, and Crystallized reaction.

While the Geo Resonance card is brilliant when used to enhance Noelle’s Shield (especially since it grants DMG reduction to Physical DMG),thisGenshin Impactcard is extremely niche. Players have to ensure that a Shield is made on the same turn AND Geo DMG has to be dealt after creating the Shield. This is unnecessarily complicated and can definitely be buffed.
The buff can eithergrant 3 Shields without any requirement, orthe effect should persist until the requirement is fulfilled(so not restricted to the current round).
1Timmie
Timmie cost 0 Dice to use, which is great. However, if players consider the fact thathe stays in the support area inGenshin Impactfor3 roundsjust to grant 1 Omni Element Dice and 1 card, Timmie can get annoying really quickly.
Since he’s basically free to use, though, the buff shouldn’t be overpowered. A bump to2 Omni Element Diceinstead of 1 can make him more worthy of taking up a support slot.
