Weapons inGenshin Impactare 50% of characters’ builds. It’s tricky to find the best weapon for a certain character since the item’s stats and passive majorly affect its wielder’s role.
Now, in the case of Chongyun, he also is tricky to build because of his Elemental Skill that negatively affects many ofGenshin Impact’s characters. The confusion about what role he can fill makes it complicated to find thebest Claymore for Chongyun. However, knowing his roles and where he shines the most, simplifies this task and gives players the ability to choose from multiple correct choices.

6Luxurious Sea-Lord
Luxurious Sea-Lord is a great choice for anyGenshin Impactcharacter that depends on their Elemental Burstto deal damage, and Chongyun is one of them. There’s nothing special about this weapon since it only adds a 24% raw damage to Chongyun’s Burst, and a small AoE passive.
5Akuoumaru

Akuoumaru is a little tricky to use. To fully unlock its potential and rank it high inGenshin Impact’s Claymore tier list, players need to add units with high Energy requirements to Chongyun’s team composition. Every 80 Energy Requirement in the team adds around 19% damage to Chongyun’s Burst. And given he has low Energy requirements of 40 per Burst, he can barely touch the 67% milestone (that without considering how hard it is to get R5 Akuoumaru in the first place). However, even without considering all that, Akuoumaru is a decent weapon for Chongyun.
4Lithic Blade
Since Chongyun is from Liyue, he has the chance to unlock Lithic Blade’s full potential. On R5, This weapon hides a massive buff to ATK and Crit Rate, and ultimately to Crit DMG too, because players can be more comfortable building Crit DMG in artifacts. Although R5 Lithic Blade holds thesecrazyGenshin Impactstatsof 510 Base ATK, 85% ATK, and 28% Crit Rate, under R5, it can’t really compete with the other Claymores.
3Skyward Pride

Having high Base ATK and Energy Recharge as a secondary Stat really benefits Chongyun’s Burst. Skyward Pride will increase Chongyun’s damage by allowing him to unleash harder and more Bursts upon his enemies. The passive, however, doesn’t really add anything to Chongyun’s kit, unless he is operating as a Main DPS, but that’s one ofChongyun’s mistakes players make inGenshin Impact.
2Sacrificial Greatsword
What makesSacrificial weapons significant inGenshin Impactis the ability to fit into any Support and Sub-DPS. With Sacrificial Greatsword, Chongyun will be able to keep casting his Elemental Skill, keeping his Cryo field active, quickly refilling his Energy requirements, and regenerating his team’s Burst too. The High Base ATK on Sacrificial Greatsword helps Chongyun to deal more damage, making it an all-around perfect choice for the character.
1Wolf’s Gravestone
What makes Wolf’s Gravestone so good is that itworks on both DPS and Sub-DPS units. With Chongyun in any team composition, players will have to get him out occasionally to Skill and Burst since he has low cooldown and energy requirements. That is perfect since he can keep increasing the team’s ATK by 40% from Wolf’s Gravestone passive.
