Throughout their time withGhost of Tsushima, players will gain access to a wide range of armor sets they can make use of. Each of these provides unique bonuses beyond just their defense rating and can be upgraded withGhost of Tsushima’s crafting system, so it is worth the time to find one that fits the player’s play style.

One of the more iconic armor sets that fans should be on the lookout for is the Ghost Set, which shares a name with the title of the game itself. It is quite powerful and promotes a stealthy play style above all else, something which is typically rewarded inGhost of Tsushima.

Thankfully, finding this armor is easy, as it is obtained automatically aspart ofGhost of Tsushima’s main quest. Still, knowing when to expect it is good, as it can help the player decide when to move on to the next part of the story and when to hang back and work on side quests.

The Ghost Armor Set is obtained automatically when completing the “From the Darkness” main quest during Act 2. This means that at the very least players will need to get through Act 1 while relying on other armor sets. Likewise, this is the final quest in Act 2, so the same holds true for the majority of that portion of the game as well. Once the player feels they’ve explored enough of theside quests that Act 1 and 2 has to offer, they should complete story quests until they get to “From the Darkness.”

“From the Darkness” sees Jin infiltrate thefirst keep of Castle Shimura, which is currently occupied by tons of Mongols. The player will need to focus on stealth for the majority of this mission, working their way methodically through the castle. At the end of this mission there is a boss fight with Ryuza, so fans should be prepared for that. Completing this quest grants the Ghost Armor Set, which reduces enemy detection speed by 40%, reduces the number of kills required to enter Ghost Stance by 2, and grants a 30% chance to terrify nearby enemies after each kill.

These skills make it clear that the armor encourages stealthy gameplay, as it will be much more difficult for enemies to notice the player sneaking around. The Ghost set is a solid set of armor that can help carry the player through the rest of thethird act ofGhost of Tsushima, and can be upgraded in much the same way as other armor sets.

Ghost of Tsushimais available now exclusively for PS4.
