Fans that encounter the ghostly effect are caught off guard, others report even stranger events spread across Verdansk.
While the change is not as dramatic asBlack Ops 4turning their ocean red, a ghostly encounter has been caught on video by fans.Modern Warfarehas had several ghostly references hidden across its mapsas the developer love adding small details to widely complex maps.

In a spot near Lumber, a group ofWarzonefans discovered the sounds of a ghostly child. The child laughter is unlike any other ghostly sound covered in the game as it comes through very clearly. Many fans believe that the laughter is that of the Zombies mode character Samantha who is known to hauntCall of Dutytitles in several maps across the franchise. Although the laughter sounds younger than usual, its ghostly effect has done a great job catching entire squads off guard and shocking unexpecting players. The ghostly sounds are all in good fun of course, and many fans believe that the sound could be atease for the upcoming Halloween eventlater this October. No one is sure exactly the point of the child’s voice, but most fans agree that it is creepy as can be.
Several other locations acrossWarzonehave had similar haunting experiences. While some are still unrecorded, others are being documented by players and shared across varying social media platforms. As the knowledge of these encounters spread their novelty may diminish, but there is sure to be even more hidden in future patches from the developers.
There is not much known aboutthe Halloween event planned for late October. While there are rumors of Zombies coming to Verdansk, the developers have kept a fairly tight lid on future content for the game. Players are expecting a fun alternative game mode, but there may be something even bigger in store for the dedicated community to enjoy.
Still, there are tons in the Season 6 update that fans are discovering. From agiant teddy bear Easter Eggto hidden sound clips across maps fans are expecting Season 6 to embrace the spirit of October and Halloween. Fans will just have to wait and see what the developers have planned to make their game even more haunted.
