TheGoogle Stadiahad a bumpy launch and it has taken a while for the cloud-gaming platform to perform the way that was promised and even then that is dependant on internet bandwidth. Despite an initiallymixed reception for Stadia, changes have been made to improve the service. One of these services is the $9.99 monthly subscription for Stadia Pro players, and this has resulted in some fantastic free games coming this May.

The most popular game coming to the streaming-platform this May isPlayer’s UnkownBattlegrounds - Pioneer Edition. The game is one of the leaders in thesaturated battle royale genreand this version of the game usually costs players $39.99. This version of the title not only includes the core game but has  Survivor Pass: Cold Front and exclusive Stadia skins.  While many players would be happy with just this popular game there are also some hidden gems available.

A puzzle-based game based on Europa calledThe Turing Testis also available for free this month. The game was published by Square Enix and has been generally well-received by critics. Players have reviewed the game very positively and praise has been placed on its high sci-fi conception as well as its polished finish. Plenty of players were excited to seeThe Turing Testcome to the Switchand many will likely be happy to get their hands on an enjoyable puzzle game for free. However, for players who just want to shoot everything in sight, there is also a title for them.

WhileZombie Army 4: Dead Warreceived middling reviews, it is a fun game for those who want to kill zombies and it is particularly enjoyable as a co-op game. The game is set in 1946 and entrusts players with killing Hitler’s remaining zombie hordes before they take over the world. Safe to say the stakes are high and the developer, Rebellion, incorporates its experience with theSniper Eliteseries in interesting ways.  It will be intriguing to see if these games begin to sway players on Stadia.

Stadiahas been steadily building its library of games and there are now some impressive titles on the service. With that said, some still feel that complete cloud gaming is not supported by the current global infrastructure and it will be fascinating to see if the platform, backed by one of the biggest companies in the world, can change initial opinion.
