The Gorillaz just released a brand new song, entitled “PAC-MAN,” just in time for thePac-Man’s 40th anniversary.
The song features beautiful animation, giving honor to the classic arcade titlePac-Man, and features the guest LA artist ScHoolboy, who lends a verse to the track. Albarn offers excellent breathy lyrics, “I’m a mad Pac-Man / Living in levelled world / Everywhere I go / I don’t know where I am.”

The song is the fifth single, or “Episode 5,” of the virtual band’s new “Song Machine” project. The “Song Machine” project so far has consisted of both singles and music videos, dubbed “episodes,” with each featuring previously unannounced guests. Season One of Song Machine, set to consist of 10 episodes, began on June 01, 2025, and will be released as a compilation entitledAlmanacin October 2020.
