Gran Turismo 7received rave reviews from most critics, but its launch was marred with controversies. Recently, players could not play the game for hours due to the servers being down for maintenance, and developerPolyphony Digital had reportedly reduced the number of creditsearned by winning races.
As a result,Gran Turismo 7was review bombedon Metacritic. Its user score is even lower than before, sitting at just 1.5 compared to the critic score of 87 and giving itone of the lowest user scores of any Sony published title in recent years. Naturally, it’s not a good look for Sony, as it has mostly released beloved games for the last few years. Even the games that are not critically acclaimed managed to develop a passionate fanbase, soGT7’s reception is a big sign of concern. Sony has now apologized for the recent issues and detailed steps it’s taking to compensate users.
