Like pastHalogames, a big part ofHalo Infinite’s multiplayer is keeping in mind where the power weapons are, when they’ll be respawning, and how best to use them against the enemy team. This is true for all of theHalo Infinitemultiplayer maps, and so not only do players need to keep in mind the quickest way they can reach the power weapons, but also strategies they can employ to stop enemy players from getting them for themselves.

TheHalo InfiniteRecharge map has a power weapon that spawns in Hydro, and so players tend to rush there immediately upon spawn. Hydro is a somewhat dangerous area in that it is easy for players to fall to their death, and so fans have usedHalo Infinite’s Repulsorsto great effect here. However, there’s another strategy they can use, assuming they spawn in the Elevator portion of the map.

As shown in a clip by Reddit user Unknown_Noises,Halo Infiniteplayers can potentially stop enemies from getting to the power weapon on Recharge. To do this,Halo Infiniteplayers need to hurry to Hydro and take aim at the plasma grenades that spawn there. While enemies can take a different route to the power weapon, chances are good that at least one person on the other team is going to try to collect the plasma grenades. If players shoot theplasma grenadesat just the right time, they’ll cause them to blow up and potentially take the enemy player with them.

Halo Infinitelets players shoot uncollected grenadesto blow them up, and it’s a neat trick that’s been featured in some of the most impressive online clips of the game so far. While some of these clips simply show the more ridiculous feats thatHalo Infiniteplayers can pull off in the game, others, like this one, show how the little details can be incorporated into one’s strategy and potentially give them an advantage in each match.

The clip goes to show that learning theHalo Infinitemultiplayer map layoutsand memorizing where everything is can be crucial for those who are trying to take theirHalo Infinitemultiplayer play to the next level. It may seem like a small thing, but getting these early free kills could very well be what helps one team snag a victory over another.

As fans continue to playHalo Infinite, even more map-specific strategies should be developed. And sinceHalo Infiniteis a live service game, fans can look forward to new maps to learn in future as well.

Halo Infiniteis out now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
