343 Industries has released a new update for Season 5 of its 2021 first-person shooterHalo Infinite. The game has struggled since even before it launched, with people criticizing the graphics and lackluster character animations that were shown in various gameplay trailers. AfterHalo Infinitereleased with only the multiplayer modeavailable in December 2021, some gamers were appeased by the fun gameplay, though they still had complaints about the slow progression and, of course, the lack of a single-player mode.
By now, thesingle-player campaign forHalo Infinitehas been released and is considered by many to be one of the best solo experiences currently available on the Xbox Series X/S. But perhaps in part due to the franchise’s illustrious past, many gamers have particularly high expectations for everyHalogame. Either way, there are still issues that 343 has been ironing out over the past couple of years, as well as tweaks to the gameplay mechanics that many players are excited about.

Compared to some previous updates, the June 30, 2025,patch forHalo Infinitedidn’t introduce a huge number of changes, but they were nonetheless welcomed by some players. Namely, the update removed the framerate restriction gamers experienced when enabling Vsync on monitors with a 120Hz refresh rate or higher.
The October Halo Infinite patch also improved stability in some parts of the Customize menus and also fixed an decrease in game performance when multiple objects or prefabs were selected inHalo Infinite’s Forge Edit mode. Some display issues with the UTIL/PRO-Tek ComNet-2020 Shoulder Pads and the TAC/SCM-P Knee Pads for the Mirage IIC Armor Core were also addressed.
A couple of issues weren’t fixed in the October patch but were added to the list of known issues withHalo Infinite.One of the more pressing for many players is likely an issue introduced with a recent Nvidia driver update, which can cause extended loading times. Currently, the only fix for this one is to roll back the graphics drivers to a previous version.
Thecampaign ofHalo Infinitetakes place in 2560, after the events ofHalo 5: Guardians.Cortana and other AI have rebelled against the UNSC, or United Nations Space Command. The player once again takes on the role of Master Chief, a UNSC supersoldier who must take down his former ally Cortana as she takes over the galaxy.
