Summary
Helldivers 2players missed the mark with the game’s most recent major order, failing to eliminate the required number of Automatons. Completing this major order would have grantedHelldivers 2players a brand-new Stratagem called the Anti-Tank Mine, but they will have to wait until the next update or the next major order to unlock it.
Helldivers 2fans have had a rough few weeks, with Sony backtracking on its controversial planned update to the game. This update would have required all players to create and log onto Sony’s PlayStation Network to access the game, even if they were playing by themselves. This caused an immense amount of backlash within the game’scommunity, with a large portion ofHelldivers 2fans review-bombing the game on Steam. This update received so much backlash that Sony and developer Arrowhead eventually canceled it entirely. Now,Helldivers 2players have encountered another issue, this time failing to complete a major order.
Earlier this week,Helldivers 2players were tasked with killing 2 billion Automatons. Unfortunately, players failed to complete this order, with the results being discussed online within the game’s community. Reddit users posted images of the game informingHelldivers 2players that the major order had not been completed. Players did end up eliminating an impressive number of Automatons, reaching a little over 1.5 billion kills, but this is still a far cry from the 2 billion needed to unlock the Anti-Tank Mine item, which would have joinedHelldivers 2’s growing list of Stratagems.
Helldivers 2 Players Fail Major Order
“Even if we failed this major order, I’m glad we could fail it together, fellow ‘divers,” solemnly stated Dionysus24812 in their post. While this feat seemed near-impossible,Helldivers 2players should not be underestimated. Arrowhead’s past major ordershave been decimated byHelldivers 2’s massive community. Earlier this year,Helldivers 2players were challenged with a similar task: defeating two billion Terminids.
The failure to complete this new order also follows the reveal and rollout ofHelldivers 2’s new Warbond. Officially called the Polar Patriots Warbond,Helldivers 2fans can now enjoy several new items, ranging from new pieces of armor to brand-new weapons and gadgets for use during missions.Helldivers 2’s exciting Warbond systemwill feel familiar to fans of live-service games, featuring a wide range of items to unlock. In addition to new content, such as weapons, armor, and, more recently, the arrival of mechs, players are also able to use a wide range of items called Stratagems, which can quickly help turn the tide of a mission. Arrowhead teased this new Anti-Tank Mine alongside this now-failed major order, meaningHelldivers 2players will have to keep on playing without it, at least for now.
