These vehicles are extensively used in exploration and help Link travel acrossTears of the Kingdom’s gorgeous localesat a much quicker pace.

Tears of the Kingdomsets itself apart fromBreath of the Wildby introducing new gameplay mechanics, including Link’s Ascent and Autobuild abilities. One such mechanic is Ultrahand, which transforms the way players interact with the environment and encourages them to push the limits of the game’s construction mechanics. Recently, one imaginativeTears of the Kingdomplayer built an electricity aircraftthat can fly forever, while another created a floating boat that can be used to travel in the air and cross the water.

In a post submitted to theTears of the Kingdomsubreddit, a user named Bao_To_Blanco shared a clever method for getting across rivers and lakes, creating ice bridges by fusing an Ice Fruit to their weapon. The clip shows the player charging the Eightfold Longblade weapon and releasing a freezing blast that creates ice slabs on the water. This trick allows Link to get across a body of water without swimming or using floating vehicles. In the comments, many players claimed that this method is useful and mechanically interesting, with some joking that it’s an ability that would be advertised for an ice-themed Genshin Impact character.

This is not the only method to cross rivers and lakes, as oneTears of the Kingdomplayer discovered another way to make ice platformswith the combination of an Ice Keese Wing and a Boomerang. It saves players from wasting Zonai devices, advanced machinery parts that can be used to create complex vehicles. These devices add some sort of balancing effect to vehicles and improve their capabilities.

Ice Fruits are valuable resources inTears of the Kingdom, which commonly appear in the freezing regions of Hyrule. Players can either eat Ice Fruits to restore their health or use them as an ingredient while cooking. Better yet,Tears of the Kingdom’s Fuse abilityallows players to combine these materials with arrows and weapons to increase attack power and create an ice blast.
