Sony revealed four different levels of PC system requirements forHorizon Forbidden West. General requirements to run the game at any level include 16GB RAM, 150GB SSD storage, and Windows 10 64-bit (version 1909 or higher). At its minimum setting, players can expect a 720P at 30 FPS performance with an Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500XT 4GB GPU. The studio also mentioned that whenHorizon Forbidden Weston PC hits stores later this month, players can opt to tweak visuals and performance settings to personal preferences, down to details like textures, shadows, terrain, and film grain effects.

While the sequel is set to release on PC, it isn’t the onlyHorizonproject on the way. It’s believed that bothHorizon3 and the live-action Netflix adaptation of the series are in the works, along with rumors of aHorizon Zero Dawnremaster for the PS5 and aHorizon-based MMORPG. There have barely been any updates on either of these projects from Guerrilla Games, although it wouldn’t be unexpected for the studio to make an announcement in the coming months.
However, it’s worth noting that some of these projects may have taken a hit afterSony recently laid off 900 stafffrom its PlayStation division, which included Guerrilla Games. It remains to be seen how far Sony’s cutbacks have impacted Guerrilla’s future, particularly concerning its ambitions to expand theHorizonIP.
