FortniteChapter 3 Season 2 brings back two weapons from Chapter 2: the Rail Gun and the Recon Scanner. The Rail Gun can shoot a powerful laser beam that can be charged up to deliver devastating damage. The Recon Scanner won’t help players deal damage to opponents, but it will help players scout for rare loot. Shootingthe Recon Scanner’s “grenade” will scan the nearby area for chests, players, and other objects, highlighting them on the map for the player to see. Rail Gun and Recon Scanner Location in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2
Fortnite players should have no issues locating a Rail Gun and a Recon Scanner. Both of them can be found inside Chests, IO Chests, and as floor loot. The best places to look at points of interest with lots of loot, like the Daily Bugle orCommand Cavern.
We found a bunch of the unvaulted weapons at Command Cavern, and since there are NPCs there, players can shoot them to complete some of the quests.
Rail Gun Recon Quests
Players canmark enemy playersby shooting the Recon Scanner’s grenade. However, it’s worth noting that players will need to mark human players –the quest won’t be completed bymarking NPCs. As for the headshot quest, players can shoot an NPC to complete it. The other quests should be pretty self-explanatory.
When Does the Rail Gun and Recon Scanner Go Away?
The Rail Gun and Recon Scanner will most likely go away once the questline ends, which is on Tuesday, May 31.
